Faith and Purpose: Those Helping Ukrainian Refugees

Medyka Volunteer Ana Sazonov is Paying it Forward

Ana Sazonov is devoted to helping others as she was helped, and the Jewish imperative for Tikkun Olam. Ana is the ED of Columbia Jewish Federation, and usually works from behind a desk to help the Jewish people. However, thanks to her Ukrainian Jewish background, she has been able to help refugees crossing into Poland.

I met Ana during our Pico Shul Refugee Seders Mission to Poland. After making seders for two nights in Lublin, we set out on fact finding and aid missions to Medyka and Chelm.
